Memorial Day 2022

Please do not wish me a Happy Memorial Day as it is not a day of happiness and celebration. Memorial Day is a somber day, a day of mourning and reflection. It is a day to honor military members, who died in service to the U.S.

While you gather with family and friends, I wish you a beautiful day as you share stories and remember your loved ones who gave their all, for all of us. Thank You to all who gave the ultimate sacrifice. May you be remembered every day and not just one out of the year.

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.

Did you know that Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day and honored military personnel who died in the Civil War?

Memorial Day commemorates military personnel who have served and died in the US military service for our freedoms.  Their loss of life is immeasurable for those who loved them. It is our duty to keep the memories of these Fallen Soldiers alive.

Pray for peace, honor the Fallen, remember their loved ones, and share their memories. Memorial Day should be every day, not just an annual day established to remember their dedicated service and sacrifices.

Consider marking this day in remembrance and spend time with veterans, fellow military members, families, and friends. Share stories and memories, reflecting on the sacrifices made by those who have served or are serving.

Memorial Day is one of remembrance and gratitude for those who served and gave the ultimate sacrifice.
